1986-S US Mint Proof Liberty 2 Coin Set Silver Dollar & Clad Half Dollar

The 1986-S Statue of Liberty Silver Dollar and Half Dollar was authorized in commemoration of the centennial of the Statue of Liberty. The Silver $1 obverse design of the coin features the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the reverse features a design of Liberty's torch and inscriptions. The Clad Hald Dollar obverse design of the coin features a side view of Liberty and back view of an immigrant ship steaming into New York harbor and the reverse features a design of an immigrant family with their belongings on the threshold of America.
