Product Information

The Barber quarter dollar is a United States coin that was minted from 1892 to 1916. It was designed by the famous engraver Charles E. Barber, who was the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint at the time. The coin features a portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a cap, often referred to as a “liberty head,” on the obverse side. The reverse side depicts an eagle with outspread wings, a shield, and a scroll inscribed with “E Pluribus Unum.”

The Barber quarter is part of a series that includes the Barber dime and the Barber half dollar. The quarter was produced in large quantities, which means there are both common and rare dates among the series. Coins from the later years of mintage, especially those from 1892 or 1901, tend to be more valuable due to lower mintages. Collectors often seek these coins for their historical significance and beautiful design.

In terms of material, Barber quarters are made of 90% silver and 10% copper, making them popular among both coin collectors and silver investors.
