1828 US 1/2C Half Cent

The 1828 half cent is a coin from the United States, part of the early series of half-cent pieces produced by the U.S. Mint. This coin was minted in a period when the half cent was in circulation due to lower denominations being useful for everyday transactions. The 1828 half cent features the head of Liberty on the obverse side, facing left, and is surrounded by the inscription "LIBERTY."
