Product Information

The 1828 half cent is a coin from the United States, part of the early series of half-cent pieces produced by the U.S. Mint. This coin was minted in a period when the half cent was in circulation due to lower denominations being useful for everyday transactions. The 1828 half cent features the head of Liberty on the obverse side, facing left, and is surrounded by the inscription "LIBERTY." The reverse displays a wreath with the denomination "Half Cent" inscribed within it.

The design of the 1828 half cent is characteristic of the classic style from this era. It represents an important part of American numismatic history. The coin is made from a copper alloy and has a diameter of about 23 mm.  The mintage of this year was relatively low compared to other coins, which contributes to its desirability among collectors.
